Manchester United are hoping to make a double transfer swoop in the coming days with Real Madrid star Gareth Bale now on their radar.

The Andalucian side have now signed Sporting CP's Marcos Acuna, though, which essentially ends their need to bring Reguilon back.

Jadon Sancho remains the club's No 1 target with an agreement reached over personal terms and agents' fees.

United have been in talks with Dortmund all summer regarding the transfer of Sancho, but are currently refusing to meet the German side's valuation of the winger.

It seems the asking price may prove the stumbling block and so United have lined up Welshman Bale on a loan as their back-up plan.

The Real Madrid man was thought to have an option to go back to Sevilla on loan again, but a switch to United is looking more likely.

Meanwhile, United have opted against bringing back former attacking midfielder Memphis Depay, as he closes in on a move to La Liga giants Barcelona.
