Celtic manager Neil Lennon is on the hunt for four more signings before the Scottish Premiership transfer window closes on September 2nd.

The print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail reported [via HITC] that he wants to bring in two full-backs, a winger and a striker in the current transfer window.

According to the Scottish Daily Mail [via HITC], Celtic have renewed their interest in FC Copenhagen right-back Peter Ankersen, after The Scottish Sun reported in June that the Hoops had abandoned their pursuit of the player.

In Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths, Celtic have two strikers who scored 28 goals between them last season and have already netted on four and three occasions respectively this campaign, but their only backup is Vakoun Issouf Bayo, who has played just a solitary minute of Scottish Premiership football.

Lennon has signed four players for Celtic’s first team squad already this summer, bringing in Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell, Boli Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed.

Celtic’s squad currently consists of two goalkeepers, five centre-backs (two of whom have filled in at right-back), two left-backs, one right-back, five defensive or central midfielders, three right-sided midfielders, four left-sided midfielders, three attacking midfielders and three strikers [via Transfermarkt].

Lennon has seven wingers or wide midfielders in his squad, with others such as Tom Rogic or Connell capable of playing in a wide role if required.
