Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths could feature in tomorrow’s Premiership match against Motherwell.

Celtic fans, how big a boost would it be to have Griffiths back for the Motherwell game?

BBC reported Hoops manager Neil Lennon as saying that it is “a possibility” that the 29-year-old could be in line for a first appearance since August at Parkhead this weekend.

[via TransferMarkt] His potential return to action is ideally timed, with Celtic set to be deprived of the services of fellow striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo for the next few weeks after he injured his knee in late October, as per Daily Record.

Griffiths has a fine record against Motherwell, having scored against them five times in nine games during his Celtic career.

However, the prospective return of the 29-year-old should offer Celtic a reliable scoring option from the bench if he is passed fit for the game and if he is needed.

[via BBC] Griffiths has been sidelined for most of this season with a thigh injury, as noted by BBC, with the striker’s last appearance coming on August 25th in the 3-1 win over Hearts.
