Celtic begin their defence of the League Cup on Saturday afternoon as they face Dunfermline Athletic at Parkhead.

The Hoops are looking to bounce back following their dismal performance midweek against CFR Cluj in the Champions League third qualifying round.

However the Pars performed well in the league cup group-stage, where they topped their section, despite Premier League side St Mirren being an opponent.

Nisbet will be looking to add to his impressive tally against the Premiership champions and will be confident to do so if he saw the defensive horror show Celtic put on against Cluj.

The Hoops faithful will be familiar with a few of the visitors men, including summer signing and ex Dundee Utd midfielder Paul Paton.

Since making the short move, the Partick Thistle youth system product has continued his fine form by scoring six goals in six games, including a hat-trick against Albion Rovers for the Pars.

Goals from James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie proved not enough on a night of defensive despair.
