Fans are now demanding that Brendan Rodgers is backed sufficiently in the upcoming window, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts… All that cash sitting their and we get 2 loan signings and squander 2 million on a project that was playing in Slovakia, not to mention we paid for the Ukrainian boy who looks very decent and sent him back on loan, really strange that we didn't spend about more money The board need to ensure they back the manager to deliver 10 in a row They will be part of our history never forgotten if the do If they dont the board will never be forgiven for protecting profit over delivering 10 in a row So what happens now are Celtic going to build a team for the champions league qualifiers or is it going to be the loan shite in the summer again as the summer window there was absolutely embarrassing example couldn’t even sign John McGinn from Hibs Plus didn’t sign a right back

Many Celtic fans are looking for the club to spend more money after profits were announced in the interim financial report for the six months to December 31st, 2018.

The Hoops announced a trading profit of £6.2m and profit before taxation of £18.8m.

The first figure is down significantly from last year after missing out on UEFA Champions League cash, but the profit before taxation is at similar levels due to the sale of Moussa Dembele to Lyon.

The results are of course extraordinarily healthy, with the club clearly managing to maintain excellent financial health even after missing out on the group stages of the Champions League.

Many believe that if we’d been a bit more ambitious in the summer window we may have been able to qualify for the big competition again rather than dropping into the UEFA Europa League.

It was announced that as of 31st December, the Hoops have a massive £38.6m in the bank.
