NEIL Lennon warned his side cannot afford to be complacent in Saturday's game against Hamilton Accies as he highlighted the importance of maintaining the momentum Celtic built up prior to the international break.

Celtic face Hamilton in the league at New Douglas Park tomorrow afternoon as the Scottish Premiership resumes after the international break.

The champions ended the first run of fixtures on a high having secured European football as well as defeating Rangers 2-0 at Ibrox in the first Glasgow derby of the season.

Neil Lennon was happy to see his full squad return to training at Lennoxtown this week with no new injuries other than those sustained before the break.

“They’ve all come back fit and well,” said the Hoops manager. “Nir  is out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury and Mikey with a groin injury. Jozo has an ongoing knee problem but he’s seeing a specialist today.

“There’ll be rotation and we’ll have to freshen things up as we go along, but we have good strength in depth now coming out of the window. Players coming in gives the team a jag of energy and life.”

The game against Hamilton will be quickly followed by a midweek fixture as Celtic begin their Europa League group stage campaign away to Rennes.

Neil Lennon is adamant his team will be focused on working hard to secure a positive result against the Lanarkshire side in order to maintain the impressive form shown before the international break.

“Tomorrow is the most important game because it’s the next one,” said the Irishman. “We respect Hamilton. We know if we can win, then it will set us up well and then we focus on Rennes.

“They had a great result at Tynecastle and were unfortunate not to get a win. That came off the back of a disappointing result against Motherwell when they were down to 10 men, but they’ve bounced back.

“Hamilton punch well above their weight and get results when they need to. We have to make sure we don’t take our foot off the pedal or get complacent. We have to be right on it from the kick off.

“We have a period of games six or seven games now and it’s very exciting. We’ve made a great start, we’re playing really well and now we just want to try and pick up where we left off.

“You want to maintain the momentum, that’s important. We had a really difficult month which we came out of well. The window is shut and everything can settle now. We had everyone back yesterday, they’re all in good spirits and are looking forward to the game tomorrow now.”
