YESTERDAY morning there was a rumour doing the rounds that Peter Lawwell had decided to reject the 800 tickets on offer for the Celtic support from the trip to Ibrox on 29 December due to safety concerns.

The buses would return to Celtic Park after the match.

Vote now… At the time of writing this, just after 9am on Saturday morning, 2741 supporters had voted (you can vote only once).

However as he stated at the Celtic AGM last month, Peter Lawwell wants to be re-assured on the security arrangements and be satisfied that the modified plans that will have to be put in place to accommodate the Rangers supporters in the Broomloan stand are satisfactory.

Celtic’s SLO John Paul Taylor, responding to enquiries about the rumour, stated that no such decision had yet been reached.

However Celtic have yet to release details on whether the tickets will be taken, and if they are who will get them and how will the supporters get to and from Ibrox safely.

The idea if the tickets are accepted, is for the supporters to meet at Celtic Park and to travel in a convoy by bus across the city under police escort.
