Kilmarnock boss Angelo Alessio has hailed Greg Taylor as a ‘very professional’ individual and tips him to succeed at Celtic; comments that bode well for the Hoops.

According to the Daily Record, the Killie boss opened up on the inevitability of Taylor’s move before stating that he has the mentality to go far and be a successful signing for Celtic.

I think we had to be realistic. At the end of the market when a player wants to go to a bigger club it’s impossible to keep him.I wish him all the best in the future for his career but, of course, not against us!

But seriously, this opportunity was important for him. I think he will do well at Celtic, he is a good guy and player, he’s very professional. He now has a good opportunity to show this.

Alessio’s comments certainly bode well for Celtic, with Taylor’s former boss clearly holding him in high regard.

The early indications around the move have all been positive, and the left-back appears to have the ability and mentality required to succeed at Parkhead, with his professionalism meaning he will always strive to achieve more with Celtic.

Despite leaving it late, the Hoops now have two very strong options at left-back following Kieran Tierney’s departure, with Boli Bolingoli improving game by game and Taylor looking to make an instant impact.
