Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has once again ruled out selling Moussa Dembele in the January transfer window.

Chelsea are very interested in securing a deal for the French striker, while Manchester United are also keen on landing the former Celtic and Fulham star.

It was thought that it would be near impossible to get Dembele out of the Ligue 1 side before the end of this month and Aulas has once again shut down any talk of letting his prized asset go.

Scouts from both Manchester City and United, as well as Premier League rivals Newcastle and West Ham, were in attendance to watch Dembele score in Lyon's win at Bordeaux last week.

Chelsea have also watched him in action and the Blues had a bid rejected by Lyon earlier this month but Sportsmail.

United have been far too reliant on Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial so far this campaign and need another regular source of goals in their pursuit of Champions League football.

Dembele's history - he started his professional career at Fulham before moving to Celtic and then Lyon - means he should slot effortlessly into both United and Chelsea's squads.
