Since then, Celtic have kicked on and look like securing yet another domestic treble, whilst Musonda has flopped badly.

That was the case when Charly Musonda picked Celtic.

When some deals go through, it just looks and sounds like it should work.

Late in the January transfer window back in 2018, the young Belgian signed an 18-month loan deal taking him from London to Glasgow, but after just 109 days and eight appearances, his loan was cut short.

The report contains quotes from Brendan Rodgers who claimed at the time that during the end of season review ahead of the 2018/19 season he didn’t believe he could offer Musonda the game time he was after, and there were also hints of an awful attitude too.

The Belgian attacking midfielder is now 22-years-old but during his season-long loan spell at Chelsea’s feeder club Vitesse the £2.7 million man, as valued by Transfermarkt, has only been able to muster an awful 14 minutes of action in the Eredivisie unsurprisingly failing to score or assist.

He’s already proven himself as an almighty flop, and if the fans didn’t believe he could do worse than his eight-game spell at Parkhead, his 14-minutes with Vitesse have gone a long way to showing it can get a whole lot worse.
