Do you think Hendry needs to leave in January?

Jack Hendry’s future at the club appears to have been cast into further doubt following the apparent interest Celtic are showing in Carlisle United defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

A loan switch or a permanent move therefore appears the best thing for Hendry in January given his lack of first-team chances this season.

The 17-year-old has burst onto the scene with the League Two side this season, and is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

A report has also suggested Neil Lennon would be open to moving Hendry on in January given how far down the pecking order he is.

Hendry’s future was already in doubt prior to the links with a move for Branthwaite, with the 24-year-old playing just 11 minutes of first-team football so far this season.

The defender has been given the opportunity to impress for Celtic’s Reserves in the last two games, but he was sent off for a “rough” tackle in a friendly against Brentford; something that is unlikely to have impressed Lennon.
