Celtic look set to miss out on a January windfall as Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas rules out a move away for Moussa Dembele this month.

Moussa Dembele will not leave because he wants to stay to win something with Lyon.

And while the Hoops will still bolster their squad this month, Dembele staying put at Lyon is frustrating to see from a Celtic point of view.

Aulas ruling out a departure for Dembele all but confirms that he will stay at Lyon this month, which we feel deals Celtic a financial blow.

Aulas revealed on Lyon’s official website that Dembele will not leave the French club this month, despite transfer offers having been submitted for the striker, with talkSPORT suggesting the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are interested.

The Hoops will receive 10 per cent of any fee paid to take Dembele away from the French side, and the Daily Record had suggested the figure could be as high as €10million, with Lyon valuing the striker at €100m.

How much do you think Dembele is worth?
