Huge Glasgow Derby Blow for Celtic

Celtic have been dealt a blow after Scotland’s national clinical director Professor Jason Leitch told BBC Sport Scotland there’s very little chance of any sort of crowd inside a stadium in Scotland until at least October.

There had been rumours of Celtic trialling a small number of fans out inside the ground as early as August but Jason Leitch seems pretty confident that won’t be the case.

The biggest blow and disadvantage here is Celtic will host the first Glasgow Derby of the season which will be played at the latest in late September. This means there will be a closed door, non-atmospheric game at Celtic Park for the first Derby, but all going well there will a full house in the reverse fixture which again disadvantages Celtic.

These things can’t be helped and supporters can’t be let into grounds before measures are in place to make sure the health of everyone is put first.
