The Daily Record has reported a welcome inclusion to the match-day squad for the trip to Pittodrie as Jeremie Frimpong returns to action following a heavy challenge from Kilmarnock’s Alan Power a few weeks ago.

Frimpong’s injury coincided with a return to fitness for James Forrest and the winger’s natural attacking flair has allowed him to excel in the right wing-back role in Neil Lennon’s new look 3-5-2, the Dutchman now has a fight on his hands to reclaim his slot from one of the gaffer’s most trusted players.

Forrest has proven his capabilities on numerous occasions this season and with 16 goals and 19 assists to his name, he is the more natural attacker despite Frimpong’s ability to go past a defender.

Frimpong had forced his way into the first-team and established himself as a starter with a series of electrifying displays belying his age and experience, his form prior to his injury will be enough to keep the more experienced Forrest on his toes for the remainder of the season though.

There are no other notable inclusions or changes to the squad as the Hoops look to continue their impressive run of form against the Dons – as the article in The Daily Record reports – Celtic have won on their last nine trips up north and have an aggregate scoreline of 10-0 in the last three games.

Who should be Celtic's right wing-back?

Celtic have a comfortable cushion at the top of the Scottish Premiership but will want to hammer home the advantage at what could be a tough fixture – on paper at least, if you ignore all the statistics that point to another easy win that is!
