Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has played down talks of Victor Wanyama leaving the club, as reported on Football London.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Celtic and as quoted on the Daily Record, Neil Lennon admitted that he is interested in bringing the Kenya international back to Celtic Park.

However, as stated in the report, Mourinho said: The former Hoops man has also been linked with West Ham and Galatasaray.

Wanyama left Celtic for Premier League side Southampton in the summer of 2013 for £12.5m, before joining Spurs in 2016.

The 28-year-old is heavily out of favour at the north London club at the moment but despite this, from Mourinho’s comments, it seems he isn’t keen to give up on his Spurs career just yet.

We feel that there is no real need for Wanyama at Celtic right now because Lennon already has a very strong midfield to select from.
