Mikael Lustig’s future at Celtic has come into doubt in the past few months.

The 32-year-old is clearly happy at Celtic Park but whether Celtic and Brendan Rodgers look to extend his stay remains to be seen.

“I have a contract with Celtic and hope to extend here.

To make matters worse, the right-back’s current deal at Celtic Park is set to expire in the summer and there have been questions about whether he will be offered a new contract with the Scottish Premiership champions.

If they want me to continue, I will stay here.” Lustig has certainly not played the best football of his career this season, which has left his future at Celtic in doubt.

The Sweden international has not been at his best this season and has attracted criticism with his performances at times throughout the campaign.

Lustig has been linked with a move to AIK in his homeland, however, the 32-year-old has addressed those rumours and has reaffirmed his hopes of remain in Scotland.
