Oliver Burke could be sold by West Brom if they don’t get promoted to the Premier League this season, report the Birmingham Mail.

Should they stay in the Championship in 2019/20, West Brom are expected to cash in on the 22-year-old, with £9million expected to be the asking price.

There has been talk of his temporary stay at Celtic becoming a permanent one, and some of that is likely to depend on West Brom’s fate.

Burke found himself left out of Neil Lennon’s squad for Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Aberdeen.

Whether or not Celtic would be willing to offer that remains to be seen, although current evidence suggests he is becoming increasingly surplus to requirements.

The winger joined Celtic in January and made an excellent start to life at Parkhead, before a dip in form of late.

The Baggies are all but guaranteed a Championship playoff place, but automatic promotion is also out of the question.
