CELTIC fans around the world celebrated the incredible 9-in-a-row success of Neil Lennon’s side with a virtual party on Celtic TV today (Saturday).

Thousands and thousands of supporters tuned in for the three o’clock kick-off, with the show being shown on the club’s YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as on Celtic TV.

And they were immediately greeted by the wonderful sight of the nine league flags flying high on top of the North Stand at Paradise and captain Scott Brown down on the hallowed turf, holding aloft the Scottish Premiership trophy – something he’s now done for the past nine years!

Chief Executive Peter Lawwell offered his congratulations to Neil Lennon and his squad, and thanked the supporters for the incredible way they have backed the team throughout the momentous nine-in-a-row run, with that support absolutely vital for the season ahead. And he also paid tribute to the work of Celtic FC Foundation at this time, through the Football For Good Fund, in helping those most in need at this difficult time.

There were congratulatory messages to Neil Lennon and his team from Rod Stewart, Artur Boruc, Martin Compston, Virgil van Dijk, Paddy McCourt, Scott Sinclair, Mikael Lustig, Charlie Mulgrew and Moussa Dembele.

And fans heard from a number of the title-winning squad, who all spoke of their delight at securing nine-in-a-row.

Scott Brown, Leigh Griffiths, Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, Chris Jullien, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston, Jonny Hayes, Greg Taylor and Fraser Forster, along with assistant manager, John Kennedy, all thanked the fans for their support throughout the campaign and urged them all to enjoy the well-earned title celebration.

Former Celtic manager, Martin O’Neill, who had first brought Neil Lennon to Celtic back in December 2000 spoke of his pride in what the current Hoops boss has done and how impressed he’s been by Celtic’s title-winning form.

The two players who have been part of every one of the nine-in-a-row triumphs, Scott Brown and James Forrest, then answered questions from some of the young players in the Celtic Youth Academy, giving the potential Celtic stars of the future some advice and top tips to becoming a Celt.

There was some fun when Chris Jullien and Leigh Griffiths went head-to-head in a scavenger hunt, with fans playing along at home, before there was the chance to look back on how the league was won.

Then, the man of the moment, Neil Lennon, was joined by his former Celtic team-mate, Chris Sutton, with the manager talking of his pride in the incredible achievement of his team in brilliantly winning the league title for the ninth consecutive season and the challenges ahead for what will be another momentous campaign. And Chris Sutton praised the efforts of the Hoops, explaining that they were worthy and well-deserved champions.

The virtual 9-in-a-row party finished off with a brilliant Celtic singsong led by Joe Gallacher, while the title parties around the world continued for the Celtic Family.
