Celtic in 8 goal Pittodrie thriller
ON THIS DAY in 2010 were three times ahead of Aberdeen – including by two goals in the second half – and ended up lucky to get a 4-4 draw as Aberdeen finished strongly.
It finished Aberdeen 4 Celtic 4 – certainly not the best Celtic side that one!
The Celtic side was Boruc, Braafheid, Thompson, O’Dea, Caddis, N’Guemo, Brown, McGeady, Keane, Fortune
and Kamara.
Early in the second half O’Dea was sent off but Celtic went in front on 65 minutes through Keane and on 72 minutes McGeady made it 4-2 to the visitors.
Fortune restored Celtic’s lead with 36 minutes on the clock but lost a second goal almost immediately.
Darren O Dea picked two yellow cards so was sent off and from the bench Celtic manager Tony Mowbray introduced Ki, Samaras and Rasmussen in the second half, taking off N’Guemo, Robbie Keane and Fortune.
