Celtic face strong competition in the race to sign Tyrese Campbell this month, as Bundesliga leaders RB Leipzig express an interest in the striker.

According to talkSPORT, the German outfit are “keen” on signing the 20-year-old as he enters the final six months of his contract with Stoke City, and Campbell himself is said to be “open to the prospect” of moving abroad.

The report also claims Celtic, Rangers, Wolves, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are all “vying for Campbell’s signature.” News of Leipzig’s interest in Campbell is less than ideal in our opinion, given how attractive a proposition the German outfit currently are.

Who do you think Campbell will join out of Celtic and Leipzig?

Therefore Campbell is likely to see the high-flying Leipzig as a club who are bang in form, creating plenty of chances and scoring goals for fun.

Celtic have also been doing to same for the most part this season in Scotland, and still represent a better option for Campbell than the likes of Rangers and Bournemouth in our opinion.

Furthermore Leipzig are the highest goalscorer’s in the German top flight so far this season, having scored 48 goals in their 17 league games.
