He said: “After last week I was surprised by Celtic supporters and this surprised me again by putting a plaque with my name on Celtic Park stadium.

The Portuguese striker took to Instagram this week to pay tribute to supporters and thank a fan who incredibly paid to have his name engraved on a brick at Celtic Park.

Jorge Cadete continues to enjoy his association with Celtic and the club’s supporters, over twenty years after he left the club in the 1990s.

Thank you for the great affection and recognition you have given me over these 22 years.
